I have had a couple of bad luck days, so I went through all my old files and photos of things I like to make me feel better.

1. Chewie

The awesome bulldog of HGTV's Antonio Treatment.
His owner, Antonio Balletore also makes me happy.

2. Nathan Fillion on Rollerblades

I looooove this guy. From Two Guys and a Girl to Firefly to his ABC show Castle
no one actor can make me smile more than Nathan Fillion. Well, maybe Robert Downy Jr.
Hey! Let's put them in a commercial together! About the Avengers!
That would make me very happy.

3. The photography of Chris Hannant

I saw this guy's work at a gallery in Manteo, NC and have been hooked.
He goes to places I want to go and takes has some amazing underwater photos as well.
Visit his site here.

4. Pusheen the Cat

This blog just makes me happy 'cause its just illustrations of cats.

5. The art and collages of Brittany Lee

This girl amazes me every time I visit her site
She has the best cut paper collages based on all my favorite Disney characters.

6. The wisdom of Tim Gunn

I love Project Runway. And I loooooove Tim Gunn.
Softly outspoken and nice. One of my bucket list bullets is to meet this man in person

7. Screen Printed Band Posters

This is an Arcade Fire Poster I recently got from the amazing Burlesque of North America.

8. Pug Nosed Cats

Duh!

9. Mondo Guerra

Another Project Runway character, Mondo is my favorite.

10. Cartoon Network's Adventure Time

In honor of the new Avengers movie, I've decided to find some kick ass fan illustrations for everyone to enjoy. I am a huge superhero nerd. While I am definitely more of a Batman kind of girl, Rober Downey Jr. has definitely turned me on to Ironman.

Most of these illustrations are from Society6. Make sure to look around and check out their custom phone cases.

I was very excited to see these babies in the mail yesterday!

A couple of months ago, I was thrilled to get a phone call from the Executive Director of the LGBT Center of Raleigh (and dear friend) James Miller. He was in need of a designer to help make a new OutGuide for this year's OutRaleigh and I jumped at the opportunity to help.

Coming from a very small community, it was hard to be different. Especially when you are discovering you are gay. While I would conceder myself as "straight" I have experienced what it feels like to be "different." The LGBT Center and James are here for the community to have a safe environment for everyone to be themselves. While working on this project and getting to know the volunteers at the Center, I was very touched by their open arms and eagerness to help others.

I am very honored and ecstatic to present the new 2012 OutGuide and announce that I am officially the agency of record for the OutRaleigh Event! I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do to help this amazing place!

On a related note for everyone living in NC- VOTE AGAINST!
May 8th is the last day to be able to vote against the new Amendment One law stating that only marriage and marriage between a man and a woman will be able to be recognized in the eyes of the law. That means all civil unions and single parents will no longer be able to have the same benefits as married heterosexual couples in North Carolina.

Put a stop to this and set an example for the rest of the country and VOTE AGAINST the Amendment!

To learn more about the Amendment, visit http://www.voteagainst.org
And check out James and I's cute photo we took to support the cause.
